Routine care:
Dust with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth after each pooja or handling. Microfibre works. Cotton works. Never tissue paper; it can carry abrasive fillers.

What to avoid:
Do not use toothpaste, baking soda, lemon or any household acid. These are abrasive or corrosive and will scratch polished surfaces and strip patina from intentionally oxidised finishes. Do not soak silver articles in any liquid for prolonged periods.

A note on intentional oxidation:
Some TARAYA pieces carry darkened recesses that add depth and definition to the engraving. This is a deliberate finishing technique, not tarnish. Aggressive polishing of these areas will remove the contrast the karigar put there by hand. Clean the raised surfaces; leave the recesses alone.
